"What is urgent is the evangelization of a world that not only does not know the basic aspects of Christian dogma, but in great part has lost even the memory of the cultural elements of Christianity."
                              Pope John Paul II

Who we are, What we do, and Why we do it:

The Boston Catholic Journal© is a non-profit online publication affiliated with no other organization or publication, and is dedicated solely to promoting a deeper understanding of the Faith of the Holy Roman Catholic Church, fidelity to the Supreme Pontiff whose See is in Rome, and to the authentic Magisterial teachings of the Church.

To Mary Immaculate, Mother of God, we entrust this publication.

All articles contained in the Journal are original, or with rare exception are published with permission from their respective authors.

The contributors to the Boston Catholic Journal are both Religious and lay, and by mutual agreement, the authors of these articles remain anonymous. The reason for this is simply to avoid the promotion of personalities. Each contributor holds Jesus Christ and the Gospel to be the sole focus and end of every endeavor. Authorship is really quite beside the point.

It is the message --- and not the messenger --- to which our readers must advert their attention ... and the message is the same, yesterday, today, and always: the Holy Gospel, authentically presented in conjunction with the Magisterium of the Church to whose judgment we defer in all matters, all things, and at all times.

The Journal neither solicits, nor will accept, any advertisements, money or material contributions of any kind apart from the writings generously provided by our contributors.

Adhering to the mandate of Jesus Christ, we acknowledge that, "Freely we have received. Freely we give."

Any article, then, may be reproduced or published freely, with the sole stipulation that credit be accorded the Boston Catholic Journal (see details below).

We desire to bring Christ to the world and the world to Christ.
